BTA by Dr. Akansha Sharma
Beyond the Airway.Beyond the Exam.
Structured, concept-driven examination preparation for anaesthesiologists pursuing international postgraduate qualifications.

About BTA
Postgraduate education, built on understanding.
BTA by Dr. Akansha Sharma is a medical education academy focused on anaesthesiology and preparation for international postgraduate examinations.
Structured learning
A topic-wise plan that builds knowledge in a logical sequence rather than scattered revision.
Conceptual understanding
Emphasis on why physiology, pharmacology and physics behave as they do — not rote recall.
Clinical reasoning
Linking basic science to decisions made in the operating theatre and intensive care unit.
Examination practice
Practice questions with explanations and mock examinations to build exam technique.
Why start in residency
Target EDAIC during your residency itself.
The years you spend learning anaesthesia are the best years to build towards EDAIC.
Basic sciences are fresh
Residency is when physiology, pharmacology and physics are studied most intensively — the same foundations EDAIC Part I tests.
One effort, two goals
Preparing concept-by-concept strengthens your residency exams, viva performance and daily clinical reasoning at the same time.
Spread the workload
Starting early lets you prepare steadily alongside clinical duties instead of cramming later around a consultant job.
An international outlook
A European diploma pathway adds an internationally recognised goal to your training. Check official ESAIC eligibility for each part.
It's never too late to start.
Whether you are a first-year resident, recently qualified or an experienced consultant, a structured, concept-driven approach can help you prepare with confidence.

Anaesthesiologists, anaesthesia residents and postgraduate doctors preparing for EDAIC Part I. Examination eligibility is determined by ESAIC — please confirm yours on the official ESAIC website.

According to ESAIC, Part I has two multiple true/false papers — Paper A (basic sciences) and Paper B (clinical anaesthesia and intensive care medicine) — with no negative marking. Always confirm current details with ESAIC.
When is the next EDAIC Part I exam?+
Exam dates and registration deadlines are set by ESAIC and published on their website. Please check the official ESAIC Part I page.
